Alan CHANCo-Chairman
- Alan Chan has been appointed Co-Chairman of EcoCeres, effective January 2025. He currently serves as the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas). Additionally, Alan is the Managing Partner at Full Vision Capital, where he applies his expertise to guide strategic investments.
- As a Founding Investor and Strategic Shareholder in several green-economy ventures—including EcoCeres, EnerVenue, StarFive, and Towngas Lifestyle—Alan is dedicated to promoting sustainability and innovation within the industry.

James TAMCo-Chairman
- James has over 25 years of experience in investments and corporate finance, and has been appointed Co-Chairman of EcoCeres, effective January 2025.
- James is currently a Partner in the Private Equity team at Bain Capital, where he leads and manages the firm's investments in the industrials and new energy sectors. He has extensive experience advising on numerous landmark cross-border M&A transactions over the past decade.

Matti LIEVONENChief Executive Officer
- Matti Lievonen has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at EcoCeres as of January 2025. With a rich background in leadership and a keen strategic vision, Matti leads EcoCeres, charting the course for the company’s mission and strategic initiatives.
- Matti is a prominent and well-respected business executive known for his significant contributions to the energy sector, with an illustrious career spanning several decades. Before joining EcoCeres, he was most recognized for his tenure as the CEO and President of Neste Corporation.
- He held various executive positions at Finnish UPM Biofore Corporation. He also served on the boards of several organizations, including as Chairman of Fortum, a Finnish energy company, Vice Chairman of SSAB, a global steel company, and as a board member of Solvay, a global chemical company, as well as the Confederation of Finnish Industries.

Dannis POONEVP, Operation
- Dannis Poon has almost 30 years of experience in the energy industry including Upstream E&P Operations, Project & Facility Management, Supply Chain Management and Commercial Operation.
- Dannis joined Towngas in 1997 and ECO New Energy Business in 2008. He possesses extensive knowledge in the Renewable Energy sector, especially business development and value chain building in Greater China and South-East Asia region.
- He served as the Co-Chair (Asia) of the ISCC Technical Stakeholder Committee “Waste, Residues and Advanced Low Carbon Fuels” from 2019 to 2021. He is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong.

Paul CHEUNGEVP, CFO
- Prior to his tenure at EcoCeres, Paul Cheung was a partner at Ernst & Young from 2011 to 2023. During his time at the firm, he held various management positions, showcasing his expertise in financial oversight and strategic planning, which significantly contributed to the firm’s value.
- A recognized leader in his field, Paul is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and actively participates as a member of the ESG Committee of CPA Australia in Greater China. Additionally, he holds certifications as a Certified ESG Analyst, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Auditor, reflecting his commitment to excellence and innovation in financial practices.

Dr. Tiffany WONGSVP, General Counsel
- Dr. Tiffany Wong has over 20 years of experience in the legal industry, specializing in corporate finance and commercial legal work, including M&A transactions, capital market transactions, and corporate, commercial, and regulatory advisory. Dr. Wong champions diversity of thought and fosters collective growth of the employees together with the organization.
- Prior to joining EcoCeres, Dr. Wong served as the Head of Legal for the Greater China region at a Tokyo-listed multinational corporation. She has also practiced law at leading international firms, including Linklaters and Baker & McKenzie, in Hong Kong and Beijing.
- Dr. Wong is a qualified Hong Kong Solicitor, admitted to practice in Hong Kong, England & Wales. She studied law at The University of Melbourne and The University of Hong Kong and holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from City University of Hong Kong. Additionally, she has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at City University of Hong Kong and was recognized in the Legal 500 General Counsel (GC) Powerlist Hong Kong in 2024 and 2025.

Jing MASVP, Human Resources
- Jing Ma has an extensive background in human resources, having built and led the global HR team for Xiaomi International Business before joining EcoCeres. She previously held various international roles at Apple in locations such as California and Beijing, and gained significant HR expertise in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations at Lenovo and United Technologies Corporation.
- Jing holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Laws from Sichuan International Studies University. She has been a certified Professional Integral Coach since 2017.

Ryan CHIUSVP, Tech & Engineering
- Ryan Chiu serves as the Chief Technology Officer at EcoCeres, having previously worked as a Management Trainee at ECO New Energy Business. During his time there, he received extensive training across various functions and departments of Towngas and ECO Energy Business.
- He is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council UK and a Chartered Member of both the Energy Institute and the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Ryan graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a BEng in Chemical Engineering and a BBA in General Business Management. He also holds an MSc in Engineering Enterprise Management from the same university and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
